Pure love

This is what I have found upon my arrival to Israel.

The love of my friends: for each other, for me.

Dear Eva and Adam holding and cherishing each other in their magical garden. Shlomit shining and singing through her new soul. Yael sharing the beauty and depth of her current inner process. Sweet messages from Mercedes and Leon, from Naomi, Irit, Orna, reaching me through the phone, through the email. Arik’s generous presence filling his house, which he offered me for the first ten days of my stay.

And the love of people I still don’t know.

I meet them in shops, on the street. They hear me speaking Spanish with Eva, they look at me and ask: Who are you? What brings you here? How can I help? I tell them about Love like we do and they are eager to listen and come closer.

It is the warmest welcome imaginable.

Puro amor

Es lo que he encontrado a mi llegada a Israel.

El amor de mis amigos: de unos a otros y hacia mí.

Mis queridos Eva y Adam abrazándose, rodeados de la magia de su jardín. Shlomit radiante, cantando con su alma nueva. Yael compartiendo la belleza y la profundidad de su proceso interno. Mensajes llenos de cariño de Mercedes y Leon, de Naomi, Irit, Orna, que llegan a través del teléfono y del correo electrónico. La generosa presencia de Arik llenando su casa, donde duermo estos primeros diez días.

Y también el amor de personas a las que aún no conozco.

Me encuentro con ellas en tiendas, en la calle. Me oyen hablar español con Eva, me miran y preguntan: ¿Quién eres? ¿Qué te trae aquí? ¿Cómo puedo ayudarte? Les hablo de Love like we do y están abiertos a escuchar, a conocer, a acercarse.

Es la bienvenida más cálida que jamás pude imaginar.

A nosotros, hasta el más minúsculo movimiento en torno a Love like we do nos parece un mundo entero de emoción y aprendizaje.

Pero sabemos que hay millones de cosas maravillosas que necesariamente tienen prioridad en vuestras vidas.

Por eso hemos pensado que quizás querríais una pequeña ayuda para poder seguir este blog con comodidad.

¿Veis el pequeño icono con forma de archivo que hay arriba, a la izquierda, encima de nuestro logo? Si pincháis en él, encontraréis las instrucciones para suscribiros al blog. Para aquellos que tenéis dificultad con el inglés, basta con que escribáis vuestro correo electrónico en el espacio reservado para ello y pinchéis en el botón que dice “Follow”. A ticket to ride

Fresh from the oven, a brand new ticket to Tel Aviv for June 1!

It’s official: I am flying back to Israel.

And I am happy, and a bit anxious, and kind of amazed as well at the whole process. Because it is almost exactly a year ago that I flew there for the first time, totally unaware that the trip would change my life!

Instead, now I know perfectly well what we – Eva, Yael, and many other people, together with me – are about to start: something small, deep and delicate, a very sensitive task and a beautiful one too. So let’s get ready for it!

There are things to buy before the trip, and calls to be made, and papers to be assembled… ’cause I have got a ticket to ride and I do care!!!


¡A volar!

Recién salido del horno, un billete para volar a Tel Aviv el 1 de junio.

Ya es oficial: ¡regreso a Israel!

Estoy feliz y un poco nerviosa y también asombrada por cómo está siendo el proceso. Porque hace casi exactamente un año que volé allí por primera vez, sin imaginar siquiera que el viaje cambiaría mi vida.

Sin embargo ahora sé muy bien lo que Eva, Yael y otra mucha gente además de mí estamos a punto de iniciar: algo pequeño, profundo y delicado, una tarea sensible y muy hermosa. ¡Así que es hora de prepararme para ella!

Hay cosas que comprar antes del viaje y llamadas que hacer y papeles que ordenar… Porque tengo un billete y sé a dónde me lleva. Y lo afortunada que soy.

Counting letters

Dozens of them: letters, messages, warm-hearting lines and beautiful words crossing the space to hug, to celebrate, to share…

We sent an e-mail to the world to inform that Love like we do was about to start its path and now our mailbox is slowly filling up. We will hopefully end up like the girl in the picture!

Answers arrive from all over Israel and Spain, and also from London, Bissau or Addis Ababa. They don’t come in envelopes, but they are just as precious.

In our email we talked about our project and, in response, people are telling us about their own plans and dreams, their lives and their loves.

So we can confirm it already: this project works, we are doing love!


Contando cartas

Docenas de ellas: cartas, mensajes, frases cálidas y hermosas palabras que cruzan el espacio para abrazar, celebrar, compartir…

Enviamos un correo electrónico al mundo para informar de que Love like we do comenzaba su andadura y ahora nuestro buzón se está llenando lentamente. ¡Con suerte acabaremos como la chica de la foto!

Llegan las respuestas de muchas partes de Israel y España, y también desde Londres, Bissau o Adis Abeba. No vienen en sobres, pero hacen la misma ilusión.

Nuestro correo hablaba de este proyecto y, en respuesta, la gente nos habla de sus propios planes y sueños, de sus vidas y de sus amores.

De modo que podemos confirmarlo ya: ¡este proyecto funciona! ¡Estamos creando amor!

Happy and excited, grateful and hopeful, joyfully aware of our responsibility.

It has taken quite long, but it is a real pleasure to finally present our project to the people we love and to everyone interested.

This is just the beginning. And we hope you like it, because there is much more to come.

Soon we will be posting our next steps, so you can keep track of everything new related to the process of creating Love like we do.

You are of course welcome to share your feelings and thoughts about it. And we encourage whoever has the wish or impulse to collaborate to contact us. There are plenty of ways you can participate or contribute to the project!

Contentos e ilusionados, agradecidos y llenos de esperanza, felizmente conscientes de nuestra responsabilidad.

Nos ha llevado un tiempo, pero por fin podemos presentar nuestro proyecto a la gente que queremos y a todos los que estáis interesados.
