Everywhere


Many of you may have already seen this video, it’s been on the news and on many websites this last week.

By bringing it here, I want to remind myself and everyone that there are thousands and thousands of people out there working day and night in the name of love for those who need it most urgently -ultimately, for all human kind.

I would like to honour their commitment, dedication, generosity, strength, perseverance, creativity and inspiration.

They constantly accomplish things we cannot even imagine. But I am sure that even their most ambitious and sensitive projects began by looking someone in the eyes and really seeing them.

This is the way love is done each time.


En todas partes

Muchos de vosotros habréis visto ya este vídeo. Lo mostraron en las noticias y ha aparecido en muchas páginas web esta última semana.

Trayéndolo aquí, quiero recordar, a mí misma y a todos, que hay miles y miles de personas ahí fuera trabajando día y noche en nombre del amor para quienes lo necesitan con más urgencia y, en último término, para toda la humanidad.

Deseo honrar aquí su compromiso, su dedicación, su generosidad, su fuerza, su perseverancia, su creatividad y su inspiración.

Llevan a cabo constantemente cosas que nosotros ni siquiera podemos imaginar. Pero estoy segura de que incluso sus proyectos más ambiciosos y sensibles comenzaron cuando miraron a alguien a los ojos y lo vieron realmente.

Así es como el amor se hace cada vez.

Help

The sun that inch by inch widens the day’s horizon, the earth that unfolds and breathes out its long torpid sleep, the drunkenness of the air sunk in warmth, the light that pierces the petals and multiplies – they all are.

But the greatest help comes from the faces that listen, the voices that answer, the presents they ungrudgingly leave at my door. Also here, in Spain, Love like we do is more and more an endeavour of many.

People are eager to know and offer what they have and, before they can even notice, their appreciation and creativity are already showering me with inspiration.

Thank goodness for all the agents of spring!


Ayuda

El sol que ensancha centímetro a centímetro el horizonte de los días, la tierra que se desdobla y exhala su largo sueño letárgico, la embriaguez del aire empapado de tibieza, la luz que atraviesa los pétalos y se multiplica – todos lo son.

Pero la mayor ayuda proviene de los rostros que escuchan, las voces que responden, los regalos que desinteresadamente depositan a mi puerta. También aquí, en España, Love like we do es cada vez más un empeño de muchos.

La gente quiere saber y ofrece cuanto tiene y, antes de que puedan darse cuenta, su aprecio y su creatividad están ya colmándome de inspiración.
