I am confirming these days that these are two of the main requirements in the process of developing a creative project.

Presence to connect, to feel, to register what is evident and what is not, to understand, to let the unfathomable happen, to become a channel for love.

After our first three interviews, I realize how much I have learned about presence working side by side with Jutta ten Herkel, a systemic therapist and facilitator. Translating for her in dozens of workshops, I have slowly and unconsciously assimilated a bit of her wonderful capacity to just be, with utmost trust in life, full responsibility for her own choices and actions, and profound and loving care for people.

If I am capable now of sitting in front of someone, asking them questions about the evidence and meaning of love in their lives, and listening to them with presence, it is because she has been such a master for me. To her, my deepest recognition and gratitude.

As for experience, no learning is possible without it. The project moves on and we move on with it. We make new discoveries and new questions arise. In trying to answer them, new lessons are drawn. It is a challenging process of growth, a vehicle for change inside and around us. We also need to live it with maximum trust, responsibility and care.

Presencia y experiencia

Estoy comprobando estos días que éstos son dos de los principales requisitos para el desarrollo de un proyecto creativo.

Presencia para conectar, para sentir, para registrar lo evidente y lo que no lo es, para comprender, para permitir que suceda lo incomprensible, para convertirse en un canal para el amor.

Después de nuestras primeras tres entrevistas, me doy cuenta de cuánto he aprendido sobre presencia a través de mi trabajo con Jutta ten Herkel, terapeuta y facilitadora sistémica. Como traductora en decenas de talleres suyos, he ido asimilando de forma inconsciente un poquito de su maravillosa capacidad para ser y estar con absoluta confianza en la vida, responsabilidad total sobre las propias acciones y elecciones, y profundo y amoroso cuidado hacia las personas.

Si ahora soy capaz de sentarme frente a alguien, preguntarle acerca de la evidencia y el significado del amor en su vida y escucharle con verdadera presencia, es porque Jutta ha sido mi maestra. Para ella, mi más sincero reconocimiento y agradecimiento.

En cuanto a la experiencia, no hay aprendizaje posible sin ella. El proyecto avanza y nosotras avanzamos con él. Hacemos nuevos descubrimientos y nos asaltan nuevas preguntas. En nuestro afán por responderlas, extraemos nuevas lecciones. Es un proceso de crecimiento salpicado de retos, un vehículo de cambio dentro de nosotras y a nuestro alrededor. Hemos de transitarlo también con máxima confianza, responsabilidad y cuidado.
