This is where Guy sat yesterday morning during our interview.
Pepo, his poodle dog, was sitting beside him most of the time. When Guy stood up, he stayed on the sofa looking a bit sad, but I have the feeling he just knew I was taking a picture of him!
It would be impossible to understand Guy without his animals. As it would without his courage and his determination. He is a brave man who is going out into the world and doing what his heart asks him to, whatever the risk.
It touched me deeply to be the witness of his will to make a change and of his honesty. In his answers, he used round and transparent words to express very profound reasons. And he kept looking at me with serene and unconcealing eyes.
Things tend to happen if we pursue them with clarity and love. Guy knows it, and I bet Pepo does too.
Guy
Aquí es donde se sentó Guy ayer por la mañana durante nuestra entrevista.
Su perro Pepo estuvo sentado junto a él casi todo el tiempo. Cuando Guy se levantó, él se quedó en el sofá con aspecto un poco triste, pero yo tengo la sensación de que simplemente sabía que estaba haciéndole una foto…
Es imposible entender a Guy sin sus animales. Como lo es sin su coraje y su determinación. Es un hombre valiente que está saliendo al mundo y haciendo lo que su corazón le pide que haga, sea cual sea el riesgo.
Me conmovió ser testigo de su voluntad de lograr un cambio y de su honestidad. En sus respuestas utilizó palabras redondas y transparentes para expresar razones muy profundas. Y no dejó de mirarme con ojos serenos que parecían no querer esconder nada.
Las cosas tienden a ocurrir cuando las perseguimos con claridad y amor. Guy lo sabe y apuesto a que Pepo también.
Yarden
This is the place where Yarden sat yesterday during our interview.
When we had already finished, he asked: What number am I? Number six, I answered, you are the second man, the sixth interviewee, actually the first in this new round.
Being with him, listening to him, sharing a couple of hours of a cloudy Shabbat morning at his beautiful home, so full with candour and tenderness – so much blessed, Naomi said -, was for me a lesson on commitment.
Commitment to oneself, to being true, honest, open, curious, determined, brave. Commitment to reality, accepting and taking it as it is, giving up the drama, valuing its infinite and precious details. Commitment to love, to the essential simplicity of its multiple truth.
I looked at Yarden and I saw a man committed to life – as far from being a number as any human being.

Cuando ya habíamos acabado, me preguntó: ¿Qué número hago? El seis, le dije, eres el segundo hombre, el sexto entrevistado, de hecho el primero de esta nueva ronda.
Estar con él, escucharle, compartir un par de horas de una nublada mañana de sábado en su acogedora casa, tan llena de franqueza y de ternura – tan bendecida, dijo Naomi -, fue para mí una lección sobre compromiso.
Compromiso con uno mismo, con ser auténtico, honesto, abierto, curioso, decidido, valiente. Compromiso con la realidad, aceptándola y tomándola tal cual es, renunciando al drama, valorando sus infinitos y preciosos detalles. Compromiso con el amor, con la simplicidad esencial de su verdad múltiple.
Miré a Yarden y vi a un hombre comprometido con la vida – tan lejos de ser un número como cualquier ser humano.
